DABBS R.E. Management LLC was founded by Daryl Dabbs, a disabled veteran who personally experienced homelessness for over twenty years in Chicago. Through the support of programs at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, social services, and organizations like Featherfist and Volunteers of America, Daryl was able to secure stable housing and obtain a voucher for his first apartment in over twenty-five years. This life-changing experience inspired him and his wife Althea to dedicate themselves to helping other veterans find the stability and dignity of safe housing.

Together with our wife, we have worked to support housing initiatives for veterans in Chicago and remain committed to continuing this vital work. We currently own a 3-flat building in the Historic Pullman District that houses three veterans facing similar challenges. Through DABBS R.E. Management LLC, we aim to collaborate with organizations to expand housing opportunities for veterans and disabled veterans in need, ensuring that no veteran faces the hardship of homelessness alone.
